That’s why we are introducing a new water repellent coating that simplifies sauna maintenance and provides extra protection for the wood.
During sauna use, the wood is exposed to moisture, sweat, and temperature fluctuations. In outdoor installations, the wood is also subjected to rain and condensation.
The water repellent coating therefore forms a thin, breathable layer over the wood that prevents moisture and dirt from being absorbed.
This keeps the surfaces dry and clean, even with frequent use. After a sauna session, a damp cloth is often enough to make the wood look fresh again, no heavy scrubbing or special maintenance required.
Although the coating protects the wood from moisture and sweat, the natural appearance is fully preserved. The finish is transparent and keeps the warm color and texture of the wood visible, just as you’re used to with our saunas.
The coating is specially developed for warm, humid environments and is safe for use both inside and outside the sauna. Whether it’s an indoor wellness area or an outdoor sauna exposed to rain and temperature changes, the wood remains better protected and easier to maintain.
Of course, our saunas are easy to keep clean even without the coating.
This new option is mainly intended for those who prefer extra convenience and a longer lifespan for their wood.
